Operating System Windows Server 2012 R2, like any other Microsoft products, requires the purchase of a license. However, there is an alternative, free option. It involves using a special program – KMS activator. Let’s take a closer look at this issue.

How to Activate Windows Server
Next, let’s move on to the activation process itself. It is implemented as follows:
- Download the activator, then unpack the archive you received and double-click the executable file.

- After starting the activator, press the designated button in its main window.
- Then choose Windows activation. As you can see, free licensing for Microsoft Office is also supported.
- Wait for the activation process to complete. To ensure the free license doesn’t fail and, if necessary, reinstalls itself, create a task in the scheduler. Finally, a notification will appear in the system log window stating that the product has been successfully activated.
